Carlos E. Leon

Carlos E. Leon, 82 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 from Cardiac Failure. He was the Beloved husband of Ana Miriam Leon for 60 years. Father to his 3 daughters Veronica M. Rivera, Anna G. Leon & Carol L. Martinez. Grandfather to Melissa Leon, Stephanie N. Rivera, Joseph A. Rivera, Eduardo A. Rivera & Noah L. Martinez. Great-Grandfather to Mason C. Cabrales-Leon, Shane M. Cabrales-Leon, Joseph A. Rivera and Leilani B. Rivera.

He is preceded by his mother Maria Georgina Imbaquingo Salazar & his father Carlos Arturo Leon. He is survived by his siblings Luis Lobato, Ana Lobato, Francisca Lobato and Rosa Castillo.

Carlos was born in Riobamba Ecuador. As a free spirited young man he & his friends decided to leave & work with a traveling circus when they stopped in El Salvador. That is where he met his future wife Miriam as everyone calls her. Carlos & Miriam came to the United States in 1968 and settled in Bronx, NY. Later in 1975 they relocated to Elizabeth, NJ. He worked for Romerovski Corp., Inc. for over 20 years where he was the supervisor for the shipping and receiving department. He later worked for Union Center National Bank as a bank carrier. He was an animal lover, enjoyed listening to music, and was a huge soccer fanatic, and loved fishing. He had a passion for cooking and was excellent in home renovations with his infamous drill. Above all things he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation for Carlos will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Funeral service to take place at 7:00 pm.
