Hedwig J. Zawila (“V”), 87, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living in West Orange, New Jersey. She was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was the loving wife of Thadeus J. Zawila, Sr. (deceased); mother to four children – SallyAnn Zawila, Thadeus J. Zawila, Jr. (deceased), Joseph Zawila (husband of Laura Ekstrand) and John Zawila (deceased); and proud grandmother of Zachary Ekstrand Zawila.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth would be appreciated.
A visitation for V will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will take place Monday, June 2, 2025 ,10:00 AM at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, 600 Myrtle St, Elizabeth. The funeral will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Linden.
