

Kendall R. Vaughn of Linden, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at JFK University Medical Center at age 47. He was born July 28, 1975, in Brooklyn, New York, the second child of Missouri Ann Vaughan.
Kendall was united in marriage to Mireya Vaughn on June 25, 2014, with whom he shared his life for many years before their wedding. In 1993, Kendall earned his high school diploma and certification in cosmetology from Abraham Clark High School and Union County Vocational–Technical High School, respectively. Post-grad, Kendall showcased his talents as a barber for many years before proudly serving his community as an officer of the Roselle N.J. Police Department for nearly a decade. Following his retirement in 2012, Kendall received the keys to his beloved city for his dedicated service and valor.
Through his work and throughout his life, he had the opportunity to positively impact countless people's lives. Kendall was a man of great respect with a powerful yet merciful presence. His soul was full of love, kindness, and strength, embodying the heart of a fighter.
Kendall’s love for his family is unmatched; he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his wife, Mireya Vaughn; daughters, Jazmine and Jada Vaughn; son, Kendall Vaughn; mother, Missouri Ann Vaughan; younger sisters, Shatima Yakop and Tamica Vaughn Monroe; and eldest brother Andre Vaughn.

A visitation for Kendall will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A second visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM to the 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 929 Dill Ave, Linden, followed by a prayer service. Cremation will be private.
