Liliam E. Moreno

Liliam E. Moreno, 67, of Riobamba, Ecuador, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 22, 1958, in Huigra, Ecuador, Liliam made the brave decision to move to the United States in 1989 in search of a better life for her family. She was the cherished daughter of Segundo Rocha and Rosario Albuja .

Liliam E. Moreno is predeceased by her beloved brother, Marco. She is lovingly survived by her devoted children, Fernando Moreno and Tania Lopez; her daughter-in-law, Alyson Pegeron-Moreno; her son-in-law, Kevin Lopez; and her cherished grandchildren, Janai, Kevin, Gisel, as well as her beloved puppies, Bentley, Bella, Snoopy, and Wall-E. She leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years, Luis H. Moreno, her constant companion and greatest love. Together, they built a beautiful life, one filled with memories that will forever be cherished. She leaves behind her brothers Polobio, Edgar, Fredy, and Duay, and her sisters Elma, Zeneida, and Josie. Liliam’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her extended family and friends in the United States, London, and Ecuador.

Liliam was known for her kind heart, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to her family. She had an innate sense of warmth and a gentle humor that made her presence a joy to be around. Though soft-spoken, Liliam’s love for her family was unshakeable, and she knew how to balance gentleness with strength when it came to making decisions that were in their best interest. Her love for gardening, especially roses, was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She delighted in the beauty of life’s simple pleasures, from tending to her plants to gathering with her family and friends for joyful celebrations. Liliam’s trips to Ecuador held a special place in her heart, as she cherished being surrounded by her loved ones in her homeland. The love and joy she shared with her family there will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her spirit. Liliam’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to call her family and friend.

A visitation to honor Liliam will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue, Linden, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 5:30 PM.

Nació el 22 de enero de 1958 en Huigra, Ecuador, y tomó la valiente decisión de mudarse a los Estados Unidos en 1989 en busca de una vida mejor para su familia. Fue la querida hija de Segundo Rocha y Rosario Albuja.

Liliam E. Moreno fue precedida por su amado hermano, Marco. Le sobreviven con mucho amor sus hijos dedicados, Fernando Moreno y Tania López; su nuera, Alyson Pegeron-Moreno; su yerno, Kevin López; y sus adorados nietos, Janai, Kevin y Gisel, así como sus queridos perritos, Bentley, Bella, Snoopy y Wall-E.
