Louis Michael Russo

Born on January 5, 1932, in Newark, Louis was the beloved son of Michael and Helen Russo. He was a proud veteran who honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service, he went on to work at Western Electric, where he was a dedicated employee for many years.

Louis was predeceased in 2023 by his beloved wife, Joanne, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and memorable road trips. He was also preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Tricia, in 2022.

He is survived by his loving grandson, Michael, who brought him great pride and joy, along with many nieces and nephews who will always remember him with affection and admiration.

Louis had a warm and engaging spirit. He was known for his sharp sense of humor and a beautiful singing voice that could brighten any room. He enjoyed visiting the casinos in Atlantic City and Pennsylvania and had a special appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—especially when shared with family.

A visitation for Louis will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, followed by a prayer service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A private cremation will follow all services. May Louis rest in peace.
