Lynne Villahermosa

On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Lynne Susan Villahermosa (affectionately called Susie by loved ones), loving mother of two daughters, passed away at the age of 71.

Daughter of the late Evelyn Rewis Diehl and the late Warren Diehl was born in Massachusetts, but resided in New Jersey most of her life. She graduated top of her class from Elizabeth General Hospital’s School of Nursing and was a nurse for over 30 years.

Lynne was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her daughters and her family. She never missed a family gathering, lunch with her sisters, and never turned down the opportunity to go get ice cream! Above all else, she was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. Affectionately called Mamela by her daughters, she always lent a listening ear, taught them what it is to be unconditional, patient, and to have faith that things always work out. She also never missed a chance to tell them she loved them, “to the moon and back.”

In addition to her deceased parents, Lynne was predeceased by her sisters Carol Ann Kolowitz and Mary Cecehovsky, as well as her brother James Diehl.

Lynne is survived by her two daughters, Alana Villahermosa and her grand-puppy Zee; Leigh Villahermosa and her husband Tarik Asan, and her two sisters Margaret Diehl and Ruth Ekiert. They are joined in grief by the many family and friends that knew her, loved her, and will miss her terribly.

A visitation for Lynne will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, followed by a prayer service from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.
