Maria J. Gutierrez

Maria was born in the tranquil village of San Jorge de Lorenzana, in Galicia, Spain on December 29, 1934 to José Maria Rivas and Erundina Oural. In 1965, she married her soulmate, Juan F. Gutierrez and together, they travelled to the United States where they began their new life. Giving birth to two children and making a home in Elizabeth, they embraced the United States while never forgetting about their home countries. Last September, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Maria was a devoted wife and mother. Nothing made her happier than cooking a meal and bringing her family together.

She is survived by her husband, Juan, her two children, Juan José and Maria, her son-in-law Anthony and her granddaughter, Isabel.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 853 3rd Ave, Elizabeth, NJ on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 10:00 am

Committal will follow a the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge NJ
