The world lost a little sparkle on December 16, 2025, when Pat “Nana” Burgos — our family’s brightest firecracker — passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She lit up every room she walked into, never missed a chance to laugh, and made even ordinary days feel like a celebration. Her energy, joy, and love will forever echo in our hearts.
Pat devoted her life to her children and poured her whole heart into her family. Her grandkids and great-grandkids adored her, and Nana Banana adored them right back — with hugs, jokes, and enough affection to fill a lifetime. One of her greatest joys was showing up for them, whether it was a sports game, a dance recital, an award ceremony, or any event that celebrated their accomplishments. Pat was truly one of a kind — her passion for music and dancing was infectious, and if a song came on, she was the first to move, bringing fun and laughter to every gathering. She enjoyed feeding her family, always eager to share her enthusiasm for cooking and whatever new recipe she had just discovered. She treasured every moment spent with her family and never missed a chance to cheer on her NY Giants — win or lose… though let’s be honest, lately it was mostly lose. Her loyalty never wavered, and neither did the care she gave to all of us.
She is survived by her husband, Victor; her "six beautiful girls" — Amelia Burgos-Cohen and her husband Andrew, Frances Burgos and her partner Tomas Hernandez, Yolanda Burgos-Geralds and her husband Rob, Lorena Martinez and her husband Bernie, Lisa Burgos, and Patricia Burgos and her partner Sulaiman Sloane. She is also survived by her eighteen beloved grandchildren and their partners/spouses — Janay Jimenez (Adrian Diaz), Briana Borrero, Jared Tucker, Kahleel Johnson, Reichelle Tomassini (Manny Tomassini), Elias Borrero (Jordan Arnold), Phabian Jimenez, Jaime Delgado (Kelly Muzzio), Tiarah Moore, Elijah Martinez, Rafael Valentin, Xavier Martinez (Jaclyn Luskey), Madison Howells (Vincent Gonzalez), Ariana Rosado, Jayden Rosado, Samantha Valentin, Carmyne LeRose, and Kairo Sloane; her cherished great-granddaughters Lilianna, Zoe, Luna, Dove, Lavender, and Nova; her soon-to-be-born great-grandson, Elias; and her three dear sisters, Barbara Zehl, Frances Gely, and Theresa Collins.
Pat is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Frances Sutter; siblings Mary Ann Funari, Geraldine Mills, Agnes LeRose, Albert Sutter, Paul Sutter, and Edward Sutter; and her beloved grandson, Zyier Rosado.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visiting on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 1:00-5:00 pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E St. Georges Ave, Linden.
