Pedro Quinones

Pedro Quiñones passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 80. Born on April 27, 1941 to Maria del Rosario Díaz and Dionicio Quiñones in Lima, Peru. Pedro’s favorite nickname was Manolo and that’s how everyone in his family knew him. He was very savvy and with his ingenuity would come up with new things in a MacGyver way. He was the family jokester.

Pedro is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maguina, children Patricia, Julissa and her husband Jose, Stella and her husband Stanley, and Ricardo, grandchildren, Gary, Ashley and her husband Eddy, Megan, Joshua, Taylor, Lexi, Demilee, Amanda, Rachel, Kayci, and Keilah, and great grandchildren, Alexa and Gisella.

Pedro attended La Universidad de San Marcos in Lima, Peru in the program of Civil Engineering. He went on to be an Executive at Sedapal in Lima, Peru for 17 years. In 1987, he emigrated to the United States with his family and settled in Union, New Jersey. He then went on to work in construction and later became a Supervisor at Swim ‘N Play in Rahway, New Jersey until he retired in 2018.

Pedro was a loving husband and father, always playful with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, always paying attention to every little detail. Now in his retirement, he became an avid gardener and loved gardening with his loving wife during the summers. He also loved vacationing in the sun and the beach, especially with his family. He will always be remembered as Papi to his whole family, and also as a faithful and committed man to his Lord and Savior Jesus!

A visitation for Pedro will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. An eulogy by Ricardo Quiñones will take place at 6:30 PM.
