Ruben "Cito" Jesus Alicea

Ruben Jesus Alicea was born on September 28, 2001 in Summit, NJ at Overlook Hospital to Yadira and Ruben Alicea.. Lovingly known as Cito to his family and Paloma to his car family. Sadly, we lost him unexpectedly on March 16, 2023. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Cito leaves behind his loving family, Mom - Yadira, Dad - Ruben, Sister - Rachell and Brother - Ryan. He is also survived by his Grandparents - NaNa y TaTa - Mildred and Jesus DeJesus (maternal), Sonia Gonzalez and Teodoro Alicea (paternal) and Shelley Reeves (surrogate Grandma), Aunts - Yahaira Gomes (Carlos), Marielle Dunn (Jamon) and Laura Harmon (Trevor) and Uncle - Theodore Alicea (Virginia) and his best friend Amador Torres also known as Chito. Ruben also leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, coworkers and his car family. Our Cito was such an amazing person…he was kind, loving, smart and always looked after others. He loved his kitten Pebbles, cars, sushi, his family and Dunkin iced caramel coffee. As early as 5 years old, Ruben was collecting model cars but he didn’t play with them, he displayed them and didn’t let anyone touch them. We knew that he would do something with cars in his future. Although his life was cut short, Ruben had achieved so many of the goals he had set for himself…he graduated high school, he worked on cars, he got a motorcycle and most recently, he moved into his own apartment. Cito/Paloma will be missed dearly. A visitation for Cito will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will take place Friday, March 24, 2023 ,10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 417 Union Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07208, Elizabeth, NJ 07208.
