I remember your Dad (Salva) taking me for my drivers test because I failed 2 to 3 before passing when he took me.  I will always now remember when I get into my car. Denise Slater❤️

My Father-in-law (Salva) will be missed very much! Although I cannot hear your voice or see your face, I know deep down in my heart that you have not left us. I believe you’re up there in heaven with your better half Eva (your wife my mother-in-law) watching over and protecting everyone you ever loved.

My condolences to the Barreto Family. Salva is a big part of my childhood. I will always remember him riding his bike to the baseball fields to watch my dad and my uncle, his sons, and cousins play for the Eastsiders. Salva always treated me like I was one of his own grandchildren. He would always greet me with a warm smile and hug and never treated me or my brother, Luis, any different than he would his grandchildren, David and Nicole. Growing up we were the only little kids around before the huge Barreto family started growing. I will always appreciate him for that. Salva’s cheerful personality, wholesome laughter, and loving spirit is what I will miss the most! I got to witness firsthand what a strong and beautiful family this man created along side their mother, Eva. For the last 30+ years you all have been more than just a family through marriage…you are my aunts, my uncles, my cousins and I share this loss with you, too. Thank you for the great childhood memories, Salva! Thanks for being a great role model for my dad as well. We love you!
