Carl D. Huston Sr.

Carl D Huston Sr., 77, of 5 Woodland Avenue and life-long resident of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 29th, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, following a 10 month fight against cancer. Carl was born July 6, 1933, the son of Helen and Ronald Huston Sr. He was educated by the Lisbon Schools and graduated from Lisbon High School with the Class of 1951. He married his wife Madelyn F. Huston (Ruby) on August 14, 1954. Together, they raised three children, Carl D Huston Jr. of Lisbon Falls, CarolAnne Hydle of Jacksonville, FL, and Brenda L Field of Lisbon Falls. Carl started his own business, Carl Huston Contractor, in 1959. He was a long time member of the Lisbon Advisory Board, was a Lobster Club member, enjoyed golfing, hunting, stock car racing, was a NASCAR official and a Tech Inspector, was a collector of “buggies” (antique wagons) and classic automobiles, he enjoyed restoring vehicles, and spending time with his family. He was a proud recipient of the Lisbon Community Service Award, for his lifetime community service in 2004. He was an incredibly kind and generous man who was always willing to help others. Besides his wife Madelyn, he is survived by his son Carl D Huston Jr. and his wife Sandy of Lisbon Falls, his daughter CarolAnne Hydle of Jacksonville, FL, his youngest daughter Brenda L. Field and her husband Jim of Lisbon Falls, his sister Catherine Kankanien and her husband Mauno of Kingfield, four grandchildren, Chris, Marlene, Jim and Erica, two great granddaughters Samantha and Alivia, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Saturday July 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Crosman Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday July 3.
