1973 - 2010

Brunswick- Christopher M. Brune, 36, of Lisbon Falls, died, very peacefully, Saturday March 13, 2010 at Mid Coast Senior Health Center, after a courageous three year battle with cancer, with his loving family at his side. Chris was born in Point Pleasant NJ on May 27, 1973, a son of Jim and Maureen (Sullivan) Brune. He was educated in New Jersey, graduated from Brick High School and later graduated from University of Maine in Orono. Chris married his true love, the former Hilary Brann on October 28, 2000 and together they settled in Lisbon Falls. Chris was a technical wizard he loved electronics and was an electronics specialist at Target in South Portland until his illness. Chris was a loving friend, husband and especially a wonderful father, even though he was unable to live at home with his daughter Katie during the past 3 years. She knew him and knew how much he loved her. When he fell ill he was told he might not live to see the birth of Katie so he went out and got 18 birthday cards and shared a story about himself and on each card he has listed a favorite movie of his that he would like her to watch on that particular birthday with her mom so Katie will know who her father was. He also started a journal for her to read when she gets older. Chris was a huge action figure collector, he enjoyed his video games, watching movies, NASCAR, and was a huge hockey fan, he also enjoyed golf and playing hockey in his younger years. Chris looked forward to seeing his company that would visit him as much as possible, he loved spending time with them especially his little niece Kieran. Chris leaves his wife of nine years Hilary and their daughter Katie of Lisbon Falls his parents Jim and Maureen Brune of Brick, NJ, a brother James R. Brune II and his wife Ally of Jacksonville FL, his in laws Dick and Hilda Brann of W. Gardiner, a sister in law Heather Ahearn and her husband Bob of Eddington, 3 nieces Kieran Ahearn, Emily and Sarah Brune, a nephew Matthew Brune, and Hilary's grandparents Richard and Laurette Brann of Augusta. The family would like to send a very special thank you to all the staff at Mid Coast Senior Health, Bodwell Unit for their awesome and compassionate care they gave to Chris and his entire family during his three year stay with them. You truly became part of his family.

Brune, Christopher M. 3/13/2010 - Visitation Crosman Funeral Home Tuesday, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8. A celebration of Christopher's life will be held Wednesday 11:00 Am at the funeral home. Committal will be held in the spring at Litchfield Plains Cemetery.
