Josephine A. Grant

AUBURN – Josephine A. (Ramsey) Grant, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2016 at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn. She was born in Maine on February 27, 1945, the daughter of the late, Lawrence and Josephine (Stover) Ramsey.

Josephine lived in Maine her entire life. On March 13, 1963 she married the love of her life, Arnold Grant, and they shared a loving marriage of over 40 years.

She was a member of the L.L. Bean Retirees group, and always enjoyed getting together with them. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was an avid Candy Crush player. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to bean suppers at the local churches.

Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Lewis of Topsham, and Christine Peavey and her husband James of Albertville, Alabama; her four brothers and two sisters; her eight grandchildren, and her eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at the funeral home from 4-7 pm.

A graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Yarmouth on Thursday September 15 at 11:00am.
