She was born November 12, 1941 in Waterville the daughter of Louis A. and LuRene (Cote) Levesque.
Judith graduated from Waterville High School and married Douglas Smart September 22, 1962. Together they raised two children living throughout the West Coast and in Maine during Doug’s 20-year career in the Navy.
Judy was a talented artist and crafter. She particularly delighted in painting with acrylics. She enjoyed adorning her home with her art and gifting some to friends and family members. She loved her home(s) and had a keen eye for decorating. One of her favorite things to do was plan elaborate gatherings for her family and friends; BBQs in the backyard, Tupperware parties with her girlfriends, Christmas Eve buffets with her children and grandchildren, and festive homecomings for Doug when he came home after months of being away at sea. She was a superb cook and a snazzy dresser. She would never venture out until she "put her face on." While living in California, she was frequently mistaken for Elizabeth Taylor! She was a loving daughter and sister, a devoted wife, a doting mother, a proud Nana, and an adoring pet-mom to many furry and feathered "babba's."
Judith is survived by her husband; two children, Laurie Smart-Pottle and Craig Smart & wife Elke; four grandchildren Alyssabeth Spaltro, Julianna Olson & husband Kyle, Julius Spaltro, and Emily Smart; a great grandson Miles Olson; a sister Susan Oster; cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Richard Levesque.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 pm Wednesday, July 27 at the Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Hill Avenue, Lisbon Falls.
Arrangements are with Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Lisbon Falls
