Anne Cichowicz Carney

Anne Cichowicz Carney, age 79, Lisle resident of 32 years, born into life on March 8, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. Born into eternity on December 19, 2011 in Naperville, Illinois. She was the beloved naval wife for the first three years of a 61 year marriage to George Andrew Carney. Anne was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Vince and Walter Cichowicz and sister Angeline Duda. Anne was a Human Resource Manager for Baron Blakeslee in Cicero, Illinois for 38 years. She also worked for Maine Cancer Society in the state of Maine, distributing bandages and as a dictaphone secretary at Aldens in Chicago, Illinois. Anne will always be remembered as a beloved wife, homemaker, cook, and surrogate mother and grandmother to the Klocko family. She will be remembered by her big smile and gentle heart. Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2012 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle (on Rt. 53, ½ mile south of Ogden Ave. / Rt. 34) where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Naperville Municipal Band, Attn: Diana Brandt, P.O.
