Charles P. Wachowski Sr.

Charles Paul Wachowski, Sr., 73, of Paw Paw, former resident of Lisle for over 50 years, passed away January 16, 2017. Cherished father of Beth (Steven) Turner, Laura (Rick Rodgers) Koder, Jill (Joe) Arellano, Charles (Dina) Wachowski, Jr. and Christopher Padalik ; Proud grandfather of Jessica, Nikko, Samantha, Christian, Jared, Anthony, Gabby, Jaden, Peyton and baby Reese; Best friend and ex-husband of Patricia Wachowski; Good friend of Harold Thurston; Father figure and mentor of Josh Ness; Brother of Susan (Robert) Schumacher; Brother-in-law of Darlene Wachowski; Charles is also survived by many nieces, nephews, including his favorite, Bruce Wachowski, Sr., and cousins.

Charles is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley (Yackley); parents, Bruno and Elizabeth; stepmother, Josephine; and siblings, Bruno Wachowski, Jr. and Daniel Wachowski, Sr.

Charles enjoyed phone calls in the mornings, his morning coffee conversations, feeding others, playing cards, hunting and fishing. He especially treasured his family’s annual fishing trips to Wisconsin, which they took for over 60 years, as well as his annual hunting trips to the farm in Southern Illinois. In his younger years, Charles enjoyed horseback riding and caring for animals on the farm. Above all, Charles enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, on Saturday, January 21st, from 11 AM-4 PM. Interment private.
