Donald C. Brauch

Donald C. Brauch, 80, passed away August 30, 2016 at DuPage Convalescent Center. He was born to the late John and Elsie Brauch on November 2, 1935 in Chicago. He played semi-pro football in Chicago where he also worked with his Father and Uncle with Brauch Brother’s Plumbing & Heating. He moved to Lisle in 1958 where he worked in the plumbing trade with various companies as well as running his own business before finishing his career at DuPage County Capital Plant as a Maintenance Engineer.

He was in the Air Force National Guard and also a Fireman with the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department where he served as an Engineer. He is survived by his son, Don J. (Jenn) Brauch of Lombard, IL, his daughter, Lorna (Andy) Gilbert of Ishinomaki, Japan, his brother William Brauch of Bloomingdale, IL, two grandchildren; DJ Brauch of Westmont, IL and Jennifer (Tony) Valdelamar of Dallas, TX, and 3 step grandchildren Erin (Joshua) Bouldin of Glen Ellyn, IL, Christopher Eyers of Lombard, IL, and Emily Eyers of Chicago, IL.

Visitation at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle (On Rt. 53, 1/2 mile south of Ogden Avenue/Rt. 34) on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 4-8pm.
