Frank Keller

Frank J. Keller, 74 was born on March 19, 1942, Feast of St. Joseph he died on September 29, 2016, Feast of St. Michael. He married Janet K. Blaeser on July 21, 1972. He worked for the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for approximately 30 years. He was a volunteer with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. In 2005 received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Dedication to the natural resource management program. He loved nature and had hundreds of the Latin names of wild flowers and trees committed to memory. He also loved astronomy and the study of stars and planets.

Frank practiced his Catholic Faith all of his life. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish and served on their Social Justice and Peace Committee. He and his wife worked with the “Bucket Bonanza” to help people in need, and they worked with Pads, and effort to help the homeless of DuPage County.

He was the devoted husband of 44 years to Janet K. (nee Blaeser). Loving brother of Camille (Ralph) Gromala. Dear uncle of Joseph, Steven, Donna (Barry) McGreer and Donald (Meredith) Gromala and great-uncle of Brianna, Joscelyn and Connor McGreer and Josephine Gromala. Fond brother-in-law of Fr. Donald Blaeser, O.F.M. Dear son of Frank & Mary (Nykiel) Keller (both deceased). Visitation at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Service from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 10:45 am to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Lisle for Mass at 11:15 am.
