Jason Michael Pietrantoni of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 39. Jason was the beloved son of Joseph Marcus Pietrantoni, Jr. and Susonne Marie Delagarza Pietrantoni. As a son and brother, an uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Jason will live in our hearts forever.
Jason was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 8, 1985. After graduating from Lisle Senior High School in 2003, Jason attended the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, where he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration and Management in 2010. While at UNLV, Jason was an active member of Sigma Chi.
After graduating from UNLV, Jason spent the next 20 years in restaurant management. Most recently the general manager at Mijo, Jason also held management positions at Catch Vegas, ARIA, Zuma, and Sushi Samba. In every place he worked, Jason brought consummate professionalism and dedication to his team and the people they served. Whether greeting guests, taking reservations, or charming customers, Jason’s laughter, patience, and wit made everyone around him feel welcome and at home.
While restaurants were his livelihood, Jason’s true passion was music. An avid fan of bands like NIN and Tool, Jason’s own music was introspective and touching. Dealing with joy, love, and heartbreak, Jason’s songs are filled with wonder and beauty. Jason’s creativity infused every part of his life. From karaoke sessions with friends and open-mic around Las Vegas, sharkskin suits and his (brief) experiment with a mohawk – Jason moved through the world with authenticity, style, and rare bravery.
Jason is survived by his mother Susonne Pietrantoni, his father Joseph Pietrantoni, brother Joel Pietrantoni and girlfriend Maria Tellez, sister Nicole Pietrantoni and husband Devon Wootten, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home at 5015 Lincoln Avenue in Lisle, Illinois, on Friday, March 21st from 2-7pm. The family invites everyone to bring photos of Jason and/or written notes of favorite memories and good laughs with Jason.
