John G. Dvorak

John G. Dvorak, age 95, most recently a resident of Sunrise Assisted Living of Naperville, beloved husband of the late Libby (Windsor) Dvorak; devoted father of John H. (Barbara) and Irwin J. (Debra) Dvorak. Loving Grandfather of Heather (Cory) Wooden, and John C. (Julia), James A., David M., and Kelly Dvorak; Great Grandfather of Dylan Wooden and Luke, Ryan, Ella, Susanna, and Jack Dvorak.

Dear brother of Dorothy (James) Wilkin and the late Josephine, Charles (Rose), Joseph (Josephine), George (Amelia), Jerry (Ann), and Henry (Mary) Dvorak; Emily (Elmer) Klafeta, Mary (William) Mitchell, and step-brother to the late Lillian (Edward) Simek. Brother in law of Bernard (Antoinette) Windsor and the late Joseph (Helen) Windsor . Loving Uncle of many.

John was a graduate of DePaul University (at age 49) and a retiree of Western Electric. Besides being devoted to his family, John was a lifetime devotee of the game of checkers with a number of championships as well to being committed to genealogy research.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave. (on Rt. 53, ½ mile south of Ogden Ave./Rt. 34), Lisle. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
