Michael James Beirl

Michael Beirl, 75, passed away peacefully in his home on April 2, 2026. Beloved Husband of Diane for a loving 53 years. Devoted Father of Jennifer and Emily. Proud Grandpa of Cassia, Ethan, Charlotte, Gabriel, and Evie. Dear Son of the late James and Carol. Fond Brother of Patricia (Rockford, IL), Matthew (Las Vegas, NV), Mary (Clarkston, WA), Theresa (Springfield, OR), and the late Jim (Beloit, WI); Half-Brother of the late Brian (Clarkston, WA); and Step-Brother of Debbie and Bill. Uncle, Cousin, and Friend of many.

Michael was a longtime employee of the Social Security Administration in various capacities, even continuing part time work for them after retiring. He also owned the Laughingstock store in Downers Grove, IL.

Michael will be remembered fondly for his quick wit, intelligence, and kind nature. He was truly a friend to all who knew him. His daily Facebook jokes are sorely missed, but his humor will live on in the many jokes he told. Michael loved cars, music, trivia, and movies, and was very proud to have visited 49 of 50 states.

A Celebration of Michael's Life will take place Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave. Lisle, IL 60532.
