

Nadia married her husband Scotty Archibald in 1976. Together they had two children, Michelle and Erick. Nadia loved spending time with her dogs Peenie, Piper, and Franky.
Nadia enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her friends. She also traveled to Florida often to visit family and vacation in the Florida Keys. While in Florida she also looked forward to visiting her favorite vacation destination, Walt Disney World. Nadia was a huge Disney fan and enjoyed many years as an avid Disney Club member. Her favorite Disney princess was Snow White, and she had a passion for collecting Disney artwork, memorabilia, and figurines.
Nadia was very creative and excelled in painting and ceramics. She also loved to read in her spare time. She had a great eye for detail and her love for the holiday season was expressed in her beautiful home decor.
She was a selfless woman who constantly cared for others, putting their needs before her own. Nadia enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for many years and volunteered for various organizations. She was also involved in the senior citizens program at Mather’s, which kept her active in her older years. Nadia spent the last 8 years of her life living with her daughter Michelle, helping raise her three beloved grandchildren. She took such great joy in being their Baba.
Nadia will always be remembered for her loving nature, smile, and laugh. As a loving sister, wife, mother, Baba, and friend.
She is survived by her two children Michelle (Robert) Featherstone, and Erick; three grandchildren, Genevieve, Kershaw, and Kinsley; and two sisters, Maria Mauro, and Helen Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husband James "Scotty" Archibald and her parents.
A Celebration of Nadia's Life will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 3-6:30pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle, with a prayer service beginning at 4pm.
