

Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan D. Burris, 23, of Lisle, Illinois, passed into Eternal Life in support of Operation Inherent Resolve on May 21, 2015. He was temporarily assigned to the Crisis Response Element of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula, Special Operations Command Central, U.S. Central Command. He is celebrated as a witty, hard-working, kind-hearted, ambitious sailor. He was the loving son of Karen and Daniel; protective brother of Tamara (Brett) Rotelli and Audrey; proud and devoted uncle of Giuliana and Nello Rotelli; grandson of Eleanor Derdzinski; godson of Eileen (Scott) Newman and Jack (Annette) Leonard; nephew, cousin and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Derdzinski; Edward and Alice Burris. Ryan was proud to quote John F. Kennedy, "I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: I served in the United States Navy.” Funeral Service will begin Monday, June 1st 9 A.M. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln, Lisle, IL 60532, where we will proceed to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division St, Lisle, IL 60532 for a 10 A.M. Funeral Mass. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 31st from 3-9 P.M. also at the Funeral Home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
