

Born in Chicago, IL on September 24th, 1961 to Joseph and Mary Romano. Tim was the 8th of 13 children. Tim attended Fenwick High School, completed his Aerospace Engineering degree at IIT, and in 1984began his engineering career in FL with Pratt & Whitney. In 1989, Tim moved onto GE Aviation in OH. Creating a patent at each company, he had exceptional accomplishments. In 1990 the family relocated to IL where Tim joined the family business managing Mid America Plywood and Lumber. After his father’s passing, Tim became the president of Mid-America Plywood and Lumber, Chicago Suburban Lumber, and Mackie Property, IL.
At a young age Tim discovered his love and talent for music; teaching himself piano and guitar. He loved spending time with friends and treated everyone with respect and kindness. His greatest joy was his family and has been the cornerstone for his wife, 3 children, and 6 grandchildren.
Tim is preceded in death by Mary Romano (mother), Joseph Romano (father), and Cindy Romano (sister); and is survived by his wife (Dawn) Cherie Romano. Children: Nicholas Romano, Matthew (Gricel Menendez) Romano, and Devin (Tony) Juodka. Grandchildren: Isabella, Gabriela, Harper, Evelyn, Owen, and Hazen. Siblings: Theresa (Terrence) Estness, Joseph (Karen) Romano, Rita (Dr. Dennis) Flynn, Mark (Eileen) Romano, Bridget (Vincent) Sperduto, Ginger (Kevin) Reilly, MaryJo (Scott) Singer, Chrissy (Michael) Jakubowski, Karen Romano, Michael (Mary Kay) Romano, and Robert (Dawn Bushaus) Romano. In addition, 32 nieces and nephews and 31 great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation for Tim will be from 3-8 PM on Friday, March 6, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532. Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, March 7, at the Alexine Chapel at Congregation of Saint Joseph, 1515 W. Ogden Ave, La Grange Park, IL, 60526.
