

Bill was a proud US Veteran who served in the Navy during the Korean War. He owned the Heartstone Inn in Eureka Springs, and spent many years as a volunteer firefighter in Oakbrook Terrace and Eureka Springs. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and brother.
Bill is survived by his children, Scott (Valerie), Stacey Crockatt (Paul), and Misty (Mike) Kosik; son-in-law, John Adams; daughter-in-law Tricia Flint; grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Adams, Jeff Adams, Jeremy (Autumn) Adams, Emily (Mike) Yovkovich, Zack Simantel(Jen), Bailey Simantel(Sam), Joshua Crockatt (Lisa), Jessica (Casey) Stevens, Jacob Witt, Kyle Witt (Lindsaye), Brittany (Richard) Matyas, and Michael (Emily) Kosik, Jr.; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Lin) Simantel, and Doug (Christine) Oshel.; sister-in-law, Janie Simantel, He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Adams; son, William "Bill" Jr.; brothers, Milton and Alvin Simantel; and sisters-in-law, Joy Simantel and Jan Oshel, former spouse Greta Adams.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave., Lisle, on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4-8 PM, with a prayer service held at 5:30 PM. Interment Tuesday, May 10, 2022 10:30 AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood. Please arrive at the cemetery by 10:20 AM.
