You  are missed.  Gone but not forgotten. 

I am a friend of Kendra's and spent the majority of my teenage years at Ms. Butler's home. She was always filled with the word of God. Listening to the gospel on the radio and always participating in church. In my youth she was preparing me for life and  I didn't even know it. Thank you Ms. Butler for teaching and instilling in me the love of God. Sending my condolences to the family and to my sister Kendra I  am forever lifting you up in prayer.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We pray that the love and mercy of our Lord be bestowed upon the family during this difficult time. May the soul of the dearly departed Presiding Elder Barbara Ann Butler rest in eternal peace.

Rev. BUTLER served as our pastor, St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Morrilton, Arkansas, where she had an impact on members. She will always be remembered.   May God have a blessing on her as He takes her from this earth to a better place in His kingdom.

What can I say about my sister Barbara, EVERYTHING.  She was a MIGHTY WOMEN of GOD with so much talent/gifts and so much LOVE FOR GOD.  Being a Presiding Elder/Pastor she made sure before anything else was done God’s business was taken care of, meaning family, friends, other events had to be put on hold.  I watched my sister rise in the AME church (Her Heart) from little to much.  She never complained when she was appointed as Pastor,  be it 2 members or 50 members and she embraced her calling and appointments with Grace, Dignity and Love and just recently I watched God with tears in my eyes elevate my sister to Presiding Elder of the LR District,  knowing she was ready for the task, and I had to call her to congratulate her and assure she was alright and right then on that conversation  she already was discussing her commitment as Presiding Elder ready to run with her new assignment- BUT GOD- She was a busy soldier in the church that’s why I cherished EVERY CHANCE  I COULD  GET TO SPEND TIME WITH MY SISTER. I LOVE YOU BARB - (Till we meet again) REST IN THE ARMS OF JEHOVAH - THE GREAT I AM 🙏🏽🙏🏽😍🥰😘


Tiffany, Kendra, and Stanley: Your mother was a true inspiration to everyone around her, especially our family. I am truly blessed to have called her my niece. Her heart and personality were contagious. My heart breaks for you and our family during this time. 
Although your mother has transitioned from Earth to Glory, hold on to her precious memories and know she is always with you. I love you.

So many memories to share, we were young adults attending our childhood Church. Our children became friends and we were all inseparable…I loved the infectious smile Barbara had, she could and would light up a room. 
She lived her life and shined her light for everyone to see. She was a child of God! 
There will be a special place in my heart for her, but I know that she is now happy to receive her heavenly body.

And she would always tell me the story of how if it was NOT for my grandfather Sterlin Suttles getting her in church, she would not know where she would be today. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Reverend Barbara Butler.    I met her many years ago when we both had children playing AAU basketball in Little Rock; she was a pleasure to be around.  My prayers are with you all!

My Friend & My
Sister. We go way back to the early 80’s at Faith Temple with Bishop LA Lindsey & the Late Pastor Rosetta Lindsey. It was a time of evangelism & Barbara, her sister Brenda & her best friend Linda Woodley
along with a few others became a part of our team where we traveled from city to city holding revivals & doing “live” radio broadcast every Saturday at 3:00 PM.

We had a great movement reaching the masses. We all remained close friends from that era until this very day. Our families grew together and our dear Sister Barbara will be dearly missed on this side of heaven. Barbara was a faithful hardworking devoted servant of the Lord.
Our prayers continue for her family and we offer her to the submissive will of God.
Rest Well Dear Sister! We Loved You so very much, but God loves you the most.

The first time meeting Pastor Butler, I was intrigued by her boldness and love for the Lord and the people that God equipped her to Shepherd. We know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May her family find peace and comfort during this time
