Carla Thompson

Carla Yvonne (Pearson) Thompson of Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the age of 52. She was born on January 19, 1971 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late Rufus Pearson, Sr. and Linda Walker (Kelly), Carla was a 1989 graduate of Central High School. She was employed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, until her health failed.

Carla was preceded in death by her father Rufus Pearson, Sr., her brother David Dailey and grandmother, Freda (Lee) Jones.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mr. Richard Carl Thompson, Jr.; two sons, Kendaris Hill and Richard Carl Thompson, III of Little Rock; one bonus daughter, Raven Thompson of Little Rock; one grandson, Richard Carl Thompson, IV; five brothers, Rufus Pearson, Jr., Demetrius Harris, SiMarcus Pearson and Mario Pearson of North Little Rock and Ulenzen King of Benton; four sisters, Veronica Alexander of North Little Rock, Anika (Gerald) Little of Fort Worth, TX, Tracy (Gerald) Lewis of Memphis, TN, and Lameka (Nicholas) Alvarez of Little Rock.

Her memory is also cherished by a host of family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, 11 AM at Griffin, Leggett, Healy and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W 12th St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Alzheimer’s Association.
