
Don Alvin Williamson, Sr. was born December 29, 1948 to John Allen Williamson, Sr. and Thelma Lee (Tyus) Williamson in Washington, Arkansas. He died on April 28, 2015. Don gave his life to Christ at an early age. Though like all believers, he wrestled with the evils of this world, on April 28, 2015 Don reconfessed that he put his trust in God. Don, spoke clearly, "I always have (trusted Jesus). He's all I have." Don graduated from Lincoln High School in Washington, Arkansas in 1966, and later joined the US Army, where he served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. He later served and retired from the Army Reserve. Don studied machinery at Red River Vo-Tech in Hope, Arkansas. It was a profession he enjoyed for many years. By the mercy of God, Don got to enjoy his three grand-children, Jazlyn Wilder, Don Williamson III and his sister, Brooklyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Angela Denise Williamson, and three brothers, Robert Lee Muldrow, Troy Wanye Williamson and Jackie Lane Williamson. He is survived by his wife Faith; daughter Janine Carnes; sons Don, Jr., (wife Courtney) and DeWayne; three grandchildren and two brothers, John Allen Williamson, Jr. of Washington, Ark. and Vance Lauchetta (wife, Ida Mae) of Blevins, Ark. and one sister, Tammi Foress Williamson Bradley of North Little Rock. Don had several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, in-laws and a host of friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St. Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00am at Bountiful Blessings World Fellowship Church, 4424 W. 30th St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
