Elizabeth Tackett

With great sadness the family of Elizabeth Michele Tackett announces the passing of their beloved daughter, sister, friend and devoted mother of Olivia Tackett on December 14, 2022. Born on May 28, 1981 in Rusk, Texas, Elizabeth graduated from Searcy High School in 1999. Elizabeth was a member of the Cajun’s Wharf family for 15 years and lived her life meeting the needs of others in her community.

Elizabeth was known for her large heart, her funny humor and the grace that she gave to others. Elizabeth was most proud of her daughter Olivia who she loved with fierce mother bear love.

Elizabeth is survived by her mother Patricia Harris, step-father David Degrandchamp, Sr., her father Michael Harris, step-mother Ann Harris and her siblings Abby Plemmons, Katie Harris, Emily Harris, Ben Harris, Courtney Harris and Adam Harris. Her daughter Olivia Tackett, former husband and friend Terry Tackett, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews all who loved her dearly.

A drop-in celebration of life event in honor of Elizabeth Tackett will be held on January 7, 2023 at Renew Community Church, 1122 South 2nd Street, Cabot, AR 72023 from 1 – 4pm

Family and friends please help us honor and celebrate the incredible life of Elizabeth Tackett. Elizabeth always brought joy and laughter wherever she went. We hope you will join us in sharing a funny story, favorite memory and a few light refreshments with us. A memory book will be created for her daughter, Olivia, so she may know the many lives her mother touched. If you feel you would like to be a part of that story, we encourage you to share your story in a letter to Olivia.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations are made to Our House Shelter in memory of Elizabeth Tackett.
