

Esther L. Harris, 74, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in the comfort of her home. Born on September 27, 1951, in England, Arkansas, to James Malvin and Ruth Dorothy Malvin, both of England, Arkansas, Esther lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized at a young age and was a longtime member of Greater Paradise Baptist Church in Little Rock. Known for her strong faith and warm spirit, Esther touched the lives of everyone she met and found great joy in writing poetry. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, James Malvin and Ruth Dorothy Malvin of England, Arkansas; her brother, James C. Malvin Jr. of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and her sister, Rose Surratt of Sacramento, California. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Demarius Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas, and his wife, Sharon Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas; her five grandchildren, Tiara Harris of Conway, Arkansas, Makeyla Harris of Fort Smith, Arkansas, De’Maya Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas, Demarius “DJ” Harris Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, and David Bailey of Conway, Arkansas; her sisters, Rebecca Shelton and Marilyn Malvin of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and Ruthie Kearney of Little Rock, Arkansas; and her brothers, Theodis Malvin, Ricky Malvin, and Eddie Malvin of England, Arkansas, and Sylvester Malvin of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Though deeply missed, Esther’s loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
