Gloria Jean Showmar, 66, of Mabelvale, passed away November 29, 2015. She was born January 18, 1949, in Camden, Arkansas to James and Emily Thomason. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a graduate of Mabelvale High School and retired from Timex after 40 years. She is survived by her husband, George Showmar; son, Sam Showmar of Little Rock; two brothers, Jim Thomason of Little Rock and Tom Thomason of Vilonia; one sister, Karen Thompson of Missouri; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth with interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
