Helen L. Collier

She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Grogan, in 1963. In March 1970, she married Albert Louis “Tom” Collier of Newport, Arkansas, who also preceded her in death in 2004. Our mother liked to say that she had been given the gift of having two good men in her life.

Her surviving family includes her brother, Sam C. Sanders; her daughters, Linda Joyce (Varyne Beckett), Helen Ann Stegall (Phil); stepdaughter, Tomagene Powell (Jerry); grandchildren, John Michael Joyce, Amanda Joyce, Elizabeth Fowlkes, Patrick Stegall, John Hughes, Brent and Blake Hughes, Genie Rhew, Trey Collier, Tyler Collier; many great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to cousin Carol Ann for filling in and the caring staff at Brookdale Chenal Heights and the Arkansas Hospice team for their care and support.
