Hilary is preceded in death by her grandparents Sunnie and James Dillinger; Pencil; Evie and Skippy J.
When Hilary was born she brought light and joy into everyone's life. She was very joyful. She was kind and compassionate to everyone that she met.
Hilary graduated from Holland Hall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hilary was able to travel to Russia for an exchange program. She was also able to be part of a group that traveled to the Rainforest for 3 weeks. Hillary then went to Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas and received her Masters in social work from the University of Little Rock. During her time at Hendrix Hilary had the opportunity to attend a semester abroad at Oxford University.
As a social worker at Arkansas Children's Hospital for a decade Hilary touched the lives of countless Arkansas children and their families as they dealt with some of the hardest days of their lives. She approached the job with the compassion and fervor with which she took on life- joy strength and helping others. This continued when she moved to UAMS Kids First program until her death.
Hilary liked to go antiquing and repurpose old things into new. Hilary enjoyed time with her family and friends; she was always the bridesmaid organizing the wedding, the friend who showed up when you were at your worst, and someone whose laugh could ignite a room.
She liked to garden and could often be found piddlin' about the yard. She loved her tv and murder shows, cuddling with her family on the couch and listening to the windchimes. And like the wind and the birds she loved so much, she is now free.
In lieu of flowers please donate to UAMS Cancer research in Hilary's name.
