James Edward Williams

James was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bobby Williams, step-son Dennis Shewmake and brother in law Dalton Hoyle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Sharon Williams; children Brent Williams (Amanda), Angela Baxter, Greg Williams, Daniel Williams, step children Tony Shewmake (Debbie), Chester Shewmake (Lisa),Rodney Shewmake (Pat), Keith Shewmake (Michelle); grandchildren Chase Williams (Randilyn), Hunter Williams, Morgan Baxter, Andrew Baxter, Brianna Hayes (Keaton), Danielle Williams, Bella Williams, Layla Williams, Hadley Williams, Leslie Brown (Adam), Summer Shewmake, Courtney Shewmake, Danielle Shewmake, Jacob Shewmake; great grandchildren JJ Baxter, Ily Basham, Eli Williams, Laynie Basham, Emmit Williams, Andy Baxter, Jake Baxter, and Emery Brown; sisters Janette Hoyle and Susan Hoyle (Jimmy)

James was a very dedicated family man. He was a very loving, humble Godly man. He was a simple man of few words but he showed his love through actions. He never complained or wanted anything, if you knew him you loved him and he loved you. James always had a smile on his face, even till his last breath.

James' hobbies were fishing and playing the guitar. He was an exceptional guitar player. James played with the Light Brigades in the 1960's and the Gospel Traveliers in the 1970's. James also played at the VFW. He has played for the Lord at Monnie Springs Assembly of God.

James was a painter by trade and employed by his lifetime friend Ray Davis at Davis and Williams Construction.

Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth 5800 West 12th Street Little Rock, AR 72204 Wednesday, April 20th from 6pm to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held at Kennerly Cemetery in Roland on Thursday, April 21st at 10 AM with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Shewmake, Keith Shewmake, Tony Shewmake, Chester Shewmake, Jacob Shewmake, James Brown.
