Josie Ruth Perry

Our beloved Josie Ruth Perry, 82, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed on August 31, 2020. Josie was born August 20, 1938, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, to the late Amanda Wilson and Nathaniel Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vickie K. Veasey and Edna J. Wade.

Josie was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a faithful follower of Joseph Prince Ministries. Josie attended Horace Mann High School, from which she graduated in 1957.

Josie spent most of her career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Los Angeles, CA, and retired as a manager. Her heart was her grandchildren, and she spent many hours visiting with them in California and on FaceTime. This gave her much joy. Josie was an avid Bible reader, and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was happiest when she was worshipping Him and telling others of the Good News.

Josie is survived by her daughter, Angela Johnson (Tommie) of Little Rock, AR; Aunt, Josie Jones of Maumelle, AR; Siblings: Wilma Harvey (Bill) of Maumelle, AR; Lola Robinson (John) of North Little Rock, AR; and Larry Jones of Hockley, TX. Brother-in-law: Roy Wade of North Little Rock, AR; Grandchildren: Brandi Marshall (Sean) of Eastvale, CA; Tommie Johnson (Rosie) of Montclair, CA; and Malik Johnson of Riverside, CA. Great Grand-children: Autumn Franklin, Sean Marshall, Jr., Amayah Johnson and Kennedy Johnson, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
