Linda Ann Gordon

Linda Ann Funderburg Gordon of Little Rock, AR passed away on Thursday, April 16th at the age of 77. Linda was born on September 2nd, 1937 in Mineral Springs, AR to John Lee Funderburg and Beulah (Blackwood) Funderburg. She received a nursing degree from the St. Vincent’s Infirmary School of Nursing in 1958. She retired from the Baptist Health System after a long and successful career as a surgical nurse. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Billy Joe Gordon, her parents, brothers Cecil, Ralph, and Peter Funderburg; sisters Jo Remy Dodson, Inez Wesson, and Daisy Lee. Survivors include her brother Louis Funderburg, of Mineral Springs, AR; sons Dr. Anthony Gordon (Dr. Gayle Gordon) and Joel Gordon (Lauren Gordon), both of Little Rock, AR and daughter Amanda Bartlebaugh (Robert) of Richardson, TX. She is also survived by five granddaughters and one grandson. Visitation will be Monday Night, April 20th from 5-7 PM at the Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock, AR. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of the Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab Center and Arkansas Hospice for their devoted care over the past years. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity promoting Parkinson’s disease research (The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or The National Parkinson Foundation).
