Mary Elizabeth Tardy

Mary Elizabeth “Bunny” Tardy of Roland, Arkansas passed away early Saturday, October 15, 2016 after a short illness. She was born August 13, 1931 in Newburgh, Indiana, attended Purdue University, and moved to Little Rock in the late 1950’s where she met the love of her life, Randy Tardy. They were married October 12, 1962. After living in Little Rock for many years, they moved to Roland in 2006 to be near family. After nine years, Bunny moved to Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab in West Little Rock and lived for more than a year under the care of the very watchful and dedicated staff. The family has deep appreciation for the level of care and compassion given by the staff. Mrs. Tardy was predeceased by her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Carl Timmel, and husband Randy. She is survived by son Edwin and daughter-in-law Connie of Roland, sister Carleen (Joe) Belcher of Murray Kentucky, as well as extended family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock, Arkansas with Father Danny Schieffler officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marks Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
