Alan S. Moscowitz, 93, of West Orange, NJ, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he lived in West Orange with his wife Marlene for the past 56 Years. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, with his Bachelor's Degree in 1950, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon returning from the war, he founded Hirsch & Moscowitz, a scrap metal business, which he ran until retiring in 1993. Alan was a lifelong member of Temple B’nai Abraham, a past president of the Temple Men’s Club, and a life member of the Temple Board of Trustees. He was also a longstanding member of the Alumni Club of the University of Pennsylvania.
Alan was the beloved husband of 56 years to Marlene Moscowitz, the loving father of Barry (Nicole) and David (Courtney) Moscowitz, and the beloved grandfather of Jordyn, Arden, Ruby, Hayden, and Piper Moscowitz.
