

Arthur C. Fox, M.D., 91, of New York, NY passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Arthur was born and raised in Newark. He was educated at Harvard College and NYU School of Medicine and was on the house staff at Bellevue (NYU) Medical Division, where he was Chief Resident from 1951-1952. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1954
He was an NIH Research Fellow from 1954-1956 at NYU. He was Chief of the Cardiology Section in the NYU School of Medicine from 1968–2001. He also served as President of the NY Heart Association and the New York Cardiological Society, and as a Governor of the ACP. Dr. Fox was the recipient of the Great Teacher Award of New York University, and is a Master of the American College of Physicians.
He was predeceased by his brother Richard Fox. Surviving are his brothers Martin S. Fox and David I. Fox, his longtime loving companion Heidi Young, his 8 nieces and nephews, and his 14 great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be offered in the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ on Sunday at 10:15AM. Burial will be in the Oheb Shalom Cemetery, Hillside, NJ.
