He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in the Bronx and from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1963.
After more than 50 years of practice as a DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) in New York City, Bruce retired and became a member of the FILL community (Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning) at Fairleigh Dickenson University. He was an integral part of the FILL Program as both a student and an instructor and taught popular classes on current events and politics.
Bruce was a member of the Temple B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills. He was a lifelong Yankees fan and enjoyed softball and sports cars. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 55 years, Marsha Stern, and a dedicated father and grandfather. He and his wife were worldwide travelers, avid theatergoers and philanthropic members of the Jewish community.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marsha, whom he married in 1963. He is survived by his two children, Lawrence (Donna) and David (Sylvia), and five grandchildren; Joshua, Noah, Rachel, Jessica and Amanda.
Services were held via zoom on April 30th.
