Frieda Ostrowsky, 101, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Born in Munkach, Czechoslovakia, she moved to Newark where she spent her childhood and then raised her own family in Millburn, NJ before moving to South Orange twenty years ago. She was a long time member of Congregation B’nai Israel in Milburn. She was very proud of the volunteer work she did at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center for 11 years.
Beloved wife of the late Abe for 37 years, loving mother of Barry H. Ostrowsky (Bobbi), Michael L. Ostrowsky (Debbie), and Barbara E. Nackenson (Steven), cherished grandmother of Allison Weisberg (Steven), David Ostrowsky (Mandy), Andrew Ostrowsky (Ally), Jayne Perruso (Chris), John Ostrowsky, Andrea Quackenbush (CJ), and Joshua Nackenson, devoted great grandmother of Luke, Cleo, Sylvie, Freddie, and Jade.
