Gary J. Della Volpe

Gary J. Della Volpe, a beloved figure in the Newark community, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 66. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Gary's life journey was deeply rooted in the city he loved.

A skilled auto mechanic, Gary's passion for cars led him to establish and own a successful repair shop in Newark. Through his work, he touched the lives of countless individuals, always offering his expertise with a smile and a kind word. Gary's dedication and professionalism made him a trusted figure among his customers and peers.

Beyond his professional achievements, Gary was known for his infectious laughter and vibrant spirit. His love for life was evident in every interaction, and he had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. Gary's warm personality and approachability created lasting connections with those he met along the way.

Gary is now reunited with his late parents, Nicholas and Gladys Della Volpe, whom he loved and cherished deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his loving sons Marc, Jason, Jack, and Matthew, and his cherished grandchildren Lucy, Lainey, and Eleanor. Gary's siblings, Cynthia (Anthony) Della Volpe and Nicholas Jr. (Joanne) Della Volpe, will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

A visitation will be held to honor Gary's life on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 4-8 pm at LaMonica Memorial Home, located at 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ. The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, situated at 63 Franklin Street, Belleville, NJ. Following the service, Gary will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, NJ.

Gary's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the laughter, love, and kindness he shared with the world. May he rest in eternal peace.
