Gary was born on October 26, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his treasured daughter, Staci Manoukian, and beloved grandchildren, Alex and Chloe. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Messinger, of West Orange, NJ.
Gary was a long-time West Orange, NJ resident, where he lived with the love of his life, Carmella Bunero, until she passed away in October of 2023. Gary worked in the stock brokerage industry for his entire career, and was a crossing guard in Short Hills for the last ten years, where he was adored by the students. He was a lover of tennis, and in recent years, golf, where his new golf buddies became his best friends.
The family will be receiving guests from 10:15 am to 10:45 am on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Livingston, NJ. Services will begin promptly at 11 am.
