George E. Redding, 79, of Bloomfield passed away at home on Friday October 24, 2014. There will be a visitation from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 East Mt. Pleasant Ave, Livingston. A Memorial Mass is on Thursday October 30th at 11 A.M. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, N.J.
George was a graduate of Bloomfield high school and an army veteran of the Korean War. He was a carpenter by trade who specialized in additions and renovations. He loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and an avid fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor and practical jokes. George is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Joanne (LaBruzzo); Son Tommy and daughter-in-law Dina; daughter Dina Berrigan and son-in-law Brian; and six grandchildren; TJ, Marc, and Jordan Redding, Lindsay, Dean, and Chrisitan Berrigan. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and in laws.
