Marshall Freidus, 78, of Livingston, New Jersey, passed away on May 6, 2026. Born and raised in Eastchester, New York, he built a life defined by hard work, deep generosity, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Marshall spent his career in business, first at Eastern Tool & Supply and later as the founder of Northeast Lending. Beyond his professional life, he had a love for real estate, fishing, running, sports, and theatergoing — but nothing brought him greater joy than time with the people he loved.
Those who knew Marshall remember a man of uncommon strength and a remarkably big heart. He gave freely and fully, and his presence was felt in every room he entered.
Marshall is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Freidus; his daughter Stephanie Gurtman and her husband Scott; his son Justin Freidus and his wife Jillian; and his grandchildren Ryan Gurtman, Hayden Gurtman, and Emma Freidus. He was a proud member and past president of Cedar Hill Country Club, and a member of Temple Beth Shalom.
