Hello to his family, I am very sorry for your loss. I know it’s been a few years since his passing.  I was just thinking of Dr. Fish since my mom just passed away as well. I’d like to share my story with those of you who loved him. 
When I turned 4 years old I started getting sick.  My mom would bring me to Dr. Fish (usually unconscious) and he would try to figure out what was wrong, he’d have my mom go to the hospital and I’d usually be there a couple of weeks, get better and go home.  My mom told me the stories of our time with Dr. Fish and how he would be so upset that he couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me.  Many times I’d be very close to death and a priest would come. When my dad was dying of cancer I was 12 and got very sick. Again in the hospital. My mom was very worn down and crying, the caring guy that Dr. Fish was, he tried to figure out why she was more upset than usual. She explained that with her husband sick and me in the hospital she would never be able to pay all the medical bills.  She had not told him that my dad was dying. Well, Dr. Fish looked her in the eye and said “you will never receive another bill from me.”  That’s the type of person Milton was.   
I want to say a huge thank you to Dr. Fischgrund for never giving up on me. You kept me alive!  Ten years ago when I was 43 years old, once again I was sick in the hospital. I was diagnosed with Addisons Disease. (very rare)  I have been healthy since and I now have three extremely health boys (young men). I wish they could’ve had the very best pediatrician, Dr. Fish❤️

As a young widow with a toddler moving into Union County, I took my child to Dr. Fischgrund. He was not only a wonderful doctor for my child but was compassionate beyond belief. He would not charge me for any visits until years later when I had a job. Wonderful man! My son, now age 37, and I have great memories of this man. He was one in a million. Condolences to the family.

So sorry for  the loss of Milton . Just want to mention that when I moved into West Orange, with Melly and our little doggie, you provided a  neighborly warmth to our adjustment in a new area.  Milton was super perfect , in every way possible , in welcoming us to the neighbor hood .  My family will never forget the love provided .

Be well Sheila, and of course,  remember you have a friend here in the "old neighborhood"  of West Orange .

I'm sending a note c/o the funeral home.  My father was Dr. Fischgrund's realtor and his office on Westfield Avenue was next door to my mother's funeral home.  My children and I will never forget him and we have great memories of him   - and the lions on the walls!

So sorry about the passing of Milton.  He and I  were classmates throughout our entire schooling.  We remained friends throughout our lives, although separated, by distance, we renewed out friendship during class reunions and activities in the town of Franklin.  God Bless and keep in his hand forevermore!

Dear Friends,  
          You will be hearing many things about our Milton today. You will be reminded that in a world that can be nasty, disappointing and downright mean, there were still people like Milt.  We can all agree that this man was, above all, a  gutte neshoma. A good person, Such a simple phrase. Such a powerful quality. But oh how we cherished Milt. And how blessed we were to have him in our lives.
          Some of you may have heard of the ZBT Group, the outgrowth of a college fraternity at Rutgers in which a handful of Jewish boys found one another on the Banks of the Old Raritan and realized that what we had was a truly unique bond and connection. So unique that long after we had left the banks of the Old Raritan, we continued to meet not just for years but for more than six decades.  We welcomed one another's wives and children. We cheered each other on in our careers. We shared nothing more -  or less  -than our lives for the last 60 years.
         Even in a group of exceptional men, Milt stood out as our special emissary of good will - our kind, loving pal who  cared about each one of us.  His bear hugs were as warm as sunshine, and his upbeat spirit never deserted him.  
          We all know of his love for Sheila, for their combined children and for his work with other people's children whom he tended with his special brand of  tenderness. We know of his own health challenges in recent times, and how still - and always - his bear hug was his way of saying "I'm OK - are you?"       
 Milt never put on airs. He was the real thing.  And he taught us all that infirmity can't alter the love of people and life.  We deeply regret that we can't be with you today.  But we share that love with so many for this man.  Milton will live on in our hearts.  Fly high, old friend!  With love, Sally & Vic Friedman

Milt, together with his brother Marvin, were my role models growing up. I loved them dearly as they taught me how to throw a curve ball, how to stand up to bullys, and how to tell a joke. Milt was a mensch, one of the very few I have been fortunate to know. May he rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
