Mollie Friend

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to the well-being of her treasured family and friends. Born on June 29, 1931 to Jessie and Samuel Weiss in New York City, she was a proud graduate of New York University. Mollie raised her family in Livingston, NJ where she worked at Ernst Gage Inc. for over 20 years.

Mollie is predeceased by her husband Burton Friend. She is survived by her children, Jill Friend and Patti Olnowich, 3 grandchildren, Allie, Jennifer and Victoria, and sister Constance Mallas.

Mollie was a special woman who will be remembered for her warmth, grace, deep commitment to family, strength and resilience, and great sense of humor. She was a wonderful cook, an eternal optimist, and always carried herself with dignity and style.

Family and guests will be received at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, located at 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, New Jersey, 07039, on January 29, 2026, from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.

The funeral service will take place at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, on January 29, 2026, starting at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, located at 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, 07095, on January 29, 2026, at 12:30 pm.

The family requests that anyone wishing to honor Mollie, to please direct your generosity to St. Judes Children's Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
