June 25, 1947- September 16, 2025
Born on June 25, 1947 in Passaic NJ to Hyman and Rose Schein, Norman grew up with his twin brother Arthur and older sister Anne. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University and later returned to earn his master's degree there. Along with a career in accounting, he was deeply dedicated and proud of his family. He first worked at KPMG, followed by time at Kmart and the Port Authority, before retiring. While he loved retirement, he made sure to continue contributing to the weekly lottery office pool, just in case.
Norman was the cherished husband of Debra Schein for over 54 years and devoted father of Amy Gottstein (Dan) and Robyn Feingold (Scott). He was the proud grandfather of Owen and Micah Gottstein and Cayla and Sadie Feingold, literally beaming every time he spent time with them and spoke to friends about their accomplishments.
He will be remembered for his devotion to family, friends, sense of humor and love of the Yankees, Giants, and the alma maters of his grandchildren’s college choices- Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois and Pitt.
The family will be receiving guests for Norman on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, New Jersey 07039, followed by a funeral service 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey 07095.
