Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Philip raised his family and spent most of his adult years in West Orange.
Philip was a WWII Veteran in the US Army serving in Central Europe and Germany. Philip received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from NYU in Manhattan. He worked with Singer Kearfott in Wayne and ITT in Nutley. He thoroughly loved his occupation. In his spare time, he loved gardening, photography, long scenic car rides and hiking at Bear Mountain, New York. Philip also got great satisfaction from setting up and fine-tuning his computer systems.
Philip was predeceased by his son Kenny Kaszerman in addition to his former wife and dear friend Eleanor Kaszerman. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Kaszerman, daughter Monica Herz, and beloved granddaughters: Lauren and Rachel Herz.
